Passport Freeroll

Just busted from the Passport freeroll, obviously it didn't go as I'd hoped. The structure was pretty bad with 2000 starting stacks and 10 minute levels, kinda disappointing given how much was on the line, dont think it would have been too much to ask for them to give us 3000 chips and 15 minute levels.

Anyways, I steadily chipped up to 4200, only hand I showed down was AA where I got 3 streets of value from 88 on a jack-high board. Then with blinds 75/150/20 I opened AK in early position, the big blind 3-bet, I shoved he called with JJ and he won the race. Standard hand, I just couldn't win the flip.

It definitely sucks to not get anything out of the freeroll, but I'm happy with how I played and least I got the bust out over with early and didn't take a soul-crushing beat on the bubble. And even though I didn't cash in the freeroll, I still benefited from it as it motivated me to play a lot of volume in December and I had by far my best month ever. Hopefully Stars has this promotion every year.

Thanks for reading,

George
