Quick Update

I've been grinding really hard all month at MTTs; I've played over 400 on Stars already in just over two weeks. My dreams of the 6 stamp passport are still alive, as I'm well within the top 100 as of now:



Right now there are 2 big problems standing in the way. The first is that I'm going on vacation on the 28th, so I'll miss the last 4 days of the month, including the final Sunday of the month. That sucks a lot because Stars is going to attempt to break the all time record for biggest tournament on that Sunday, so there will be tons of TLB points up for grabs. The second problem is that the TLB system only counts your top 20 scores, so even if I win 20 $12 180 mans that only gives me about 5500 points which probably wont be enough. The key will be to hit a big cash in a mega-field MTT where they give out a ton of TLB points. I've had two great chances, getting 11th out of over 1600 in a $25 MTT, and tonight I got 15th out of over 2500 in an $8 turbo donkfest. The one tonight was especially frustrating since I took two beats when we were down to two tables.

I've already won 6 $12 180 mans this month for 275 tlb points apiece, and the other two deep cashes got me 290 and 250 points respectively. If I can win 6 or 7 more 180 mans and make a couple final tables in mega-field events I should be golden. The biggest problem for me will be staying positive and finding the drive to play enough tournaments. I've had a couple rough days so far but I haven't had any extended periods of run-bad yet this month and I'm overdue for one. As long as I can fight through the rough patches I should be ok, but it won't be easy. We'll see how it goes.
